在自己什么都做不好的时候,就当是神赐给的一个长假,不要勉强,不要焦躁,更不要无谓努力,将身心付诸自然,不久一定会好起来的。
——《悠长假期》(日本,1996)
When you feel like getting nothing right, treat it as a god-given vacation, don't coerce yourself, don't be anxious, and don't rush in vain, just letting go all of yourself, it will always be better soon.
——《Long Vacation》(Japan,1996)
Anybody could have a bad day or a bad time in their life. You do not know what is stressing you out, or there is just too much that you need to handle——you may try to clean up your mind or do your most to resist this pressure, but the more you do, the harder it could be.
I chose to run away to Montreal during such a period and impatiently hoped that a travelling holiday could immediately cure my anxiety.
But how could you expect an amazing time when you are tangling with messy emotions?
Eventually, what saved my day was those little things that I accidentally ran into.
You don’t need to always panic about being free because sometimes the best way out is to do nothing. Escape is to prepare for a better return.
